“Balochistan CM Says Operation Against Terrorism Imminent, Calls for Action Against Child Abductions”
Quetta: In a press briefing following the Provincial Assembly session, Balochistan Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, expressed his deep sorrow over the abduction of 10-year-old artist, Musawar Khan, and stated that the incident had personally affected him. “It feels as though the abducted child is my own. No government would want children to be kidnapped,” Sarfraz Bugti said, emphasizing the government’s commitment to taking strong action.
The Chief Minister announced plans to carry out a targeted operation in the province, aimed at tackling rising terrorism and criminal activities, particularly child abductions. He urged political parties opposing the operation to provide viable solutions to combat terrorism. “If any political party has a solution to counter terrorism, we will implement it,” Sarfraz Bugti stated. “Those who are opposing the operation must answer for their stance.”
He made it clear that there would be no compromise on taking action against the perpetrators involved in child abductions and killings of innocent civilians. “There is no option other than an operation against those who abduct children and kill innocent people,” Sarfraz Bugti emphasized.
On the issue of potential changes in his leadership, the Chief Minister refrained from making any comments, asserting that he would continue to serve the people of Balochistan as long as he has the opportunity.
