Balochistan CM Says No Large-Scale Military Operation Needed Yet

Quetta:Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sardar Sarfraz Bugti, in response to the worsening security situation in his province, stated that there is no immediate need for a large-scale military operation in the area, although one could be considered if necessary.
He made these comments during a meeting with international media at the Balochistan House in Islamabad, when asked whether, given the current situation in the province, he believed a military operation was required.
Bugti responded that while addressing the security threat is crucial, what the province needs is a smart kinetic operation, as well as ongoing intelligence operations already in place. He emphasized that train services, which had been limited, are being restored across the province.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister addressed the issue of the Baloch Unity Committee, stating that there is solid evidence supporting the claim that the committee is backing the terrorists. He accused the committee of legitimizing terrorism and described it as a proxy for the individuals involved in these activities. Bugti also noted that arresting women linked to the committee was seen as a last resort, adding that the evidence is available online and can be accessed via open-source platforms.
