Balochistan CM Pledges Effective Advocacy for Province’s Development in Federal Budget

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – A review meeting regarding the proposed provincial development projects in the Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26 was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sardarfaz Bughtee, at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmad Bledi, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development, Hafeez Abdul Basit, Secretary Finance, Imran Zarkoon, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Baber Khan, among other relevant officials.
During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning and Development Department briefed the participants on the proposed development projects in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, water supply, communications, energy, and health under the upcoming federal development program.
Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sardarfaz Bughtee, while addressing the meeting, emphasized the need for the inclusion of practical and feasible provincial projects in the upcoming federal development program. He instructed that the focus should be on prioritizing the backward districts of the province, and development schemes should be selected that directly benefit the public.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of improving communication networks and completing irrigation projects at the earliest. He expressed his commitment to effectively presenting the province’s case for development at the federal level, stressing that public welfare projects and well-being are the top priorities of the provincial government.
“We believe in the equal development of all districts in Balochistan, and our aim is to present development projects that are genuinely beneficial for the people of the province,” added the Chief Minister.
