Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Archaeology. The meeting decided to organize various cultural events to promote the province’s tourism and historical heritage.
The Chief Secretary of Balochistan, along with the Secretaries of Finance and Culture, Tourism, and Archaeology, among other relevant officials, participated in the meeting. Detailed briefings were given on administrative matters and progress of ongoing developmental projects.
Funds allocated for cultural and tourism activities were also discussed, aiming to effectively utilize grants for local cultural advancement and tourism initiatives. Practical steps were planned to enhance the region’s indigenous culture and civilization.
It was decided to host a cultural festival in the coming month and an Independence Day celebration in August of the current year. Furthermore, the meeting resolved to organize the Balochistan Literature Festival in the first month of 2025 under the auspices of the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Archaeology.
Chief Minister Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti emphasized the efficient utilization of allocated funds and urged for proactive promotion of cultural events through social media channels.
