Balochistan Chief Secretary Chairs Secretaries’ Committee Meeting to Review Key Issues

Quetta: A meeting of the Secretaries’ Committee was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Shakil Qadir Khan, to review critical matters, including the File Tracking System, IPMS, dual employment, and the acceleration of development projects. The meeting was attended by Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, Qambar Dashti, and other relevant secretaries.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of focusing on resolving public complaints registered on the Pakistan Citizen Portal and ensuring the swift resolution of pending or overdue cases. He instructed all secretaries to ensure the attendance of their staff in districts and urged that all departments prepare concept papers for the upcoming PSDP (Public Sector Development Programme) and send them to the Planning and Development (P&D) department.
The Chief Secretary further stressed the need to accelerate the work on development projects to ensure their timely completion, as the successful implementation of these projects will contribute to the province’s progress and improve the standard of living for its people.
In a bid to improve transparency and public awareness, he instructed all secretaries to update their respective departmental websites and directed commissioners to create social media accounts where daily updates related to development projects in their divisions, including videos and pictures, could be posted for public information.
Additionally, the meeting was informed that 481 individuals in the province hold dual jobs. The Chief Secretary directed authorities to take swift action against those involved in holding dual employment.
