Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Safraz Bugti declared that separatists will not be allowed to roam freely on the streets of Balochistan. Speaking at a ceremony marking Martyrs’ Day at the Central Police Office in Quetta, Bugti emphasized that every inch of Pakistan’s territory will be defended with resolve.
In his address, Bugti criticized the use of protests as a means to bring Baloch women onto the streets, labeling it as an inappropriate practice. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that those who actively seek to break Pakistan apart will not have free rein in Balochistan.
Bugti also highlighted the ongoing violence under the guise of the “Baloch National Cause” since 2000 and pledged to take vengeance for the blood of martyrs, as has been done in the past. He vowed to strengthen the police, Levies, and Frontier Corps (FC) and stated that future Martyrs’ Day events will have martyrs’ families as guests of honor.
The Chief Minister pointed out the misuse of protests to further political agendas and criticized the promotion of terrorism through social media. He underscored that while the government is open to negotiations, it will not tolerate actions aimed at dismantling the country. “We will defend every inch of our land, even if it means sacrificing ourselves,” Bugti asserted.
Today’s observance of Martyrs’ Day nationwide honors the brave individuals who have sacrificed their lives in service of the country.
