Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti Commends Solar Power Project Progress in Quetta

Quetta:A delegation representing the Land Action Committee met with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarrfraz Bugti in a significant development session. Provincial ministers Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Ali Madad Jattak, parliamentary secretaries Mir Liaqat Lohar, Barkat Ali Rind, Abdul Majid Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Energy Secretary Bashir Khan Bazai, and Agriculture Secretary Dawood Khan Bazai were among the relevant officials present at the occasion.

The delegation praised Chief Minister Bugti and his cabinet for their successful implementation of the solar energy project to transfer agricultural tube wells in Balochistan. They hailed it as a historic initiative that transcends all political affiliations for the broader benefit of the province, enhancing agricultural development and addressing energy crises.

During discussions, Chief Minister Bugti affirmed that the provincial government has taken practical steps to resolve issues faced by landowners. He emphasized their commitment to completing the project within one month, ensuring the transition of tube wells to solar energy. He further assured that until the project’s completion, landowners would receive six hours of guaranteed electricity supply daily.

Bugti reiterated the government’s intention to collaborate closely with landowners to formulate a joint operational framework for the successful implementation of the solar energy project. He underscored legislative efforts to eliminate illegal connections, emphasizing the passage of necessary legislation through the Balochistan Provincial Assembly to prevent future unauthorized connections.

The Chief Minister concluded by applauding Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan for his vigorous role in the project’s implementation. He stressed that it is now their responsibility to ensure the complete operationalization of this vital project.

The meeting concluded with a unified commitment from all stakeholders to expedite the project’s implementation, underscoring its critical importance for Balochistan’s agricultural and energy sectors.
