Balochistan Chief Minister Calls for Stringent Action Against Kidnapping for Ransom and Land Mafia

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with the newly appointed IG Police Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari, to discuss crucial security issues. During the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the need for effective measures to combat terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, robbery, and street crimes.
Chief Minister Bugti stressed the importance of taking indiscriminate legal action against kidnappers and land mafias. He directed the IG Police to update the profiles of criminals and enhance inter-station communication for immediate action. Additionally, he urged for police training courses to be updated according to current needs to improve the investigation process.
To tackle terrorism and criminal activities, Chief Minister Bugti underlined the necessity of refining investigative procedures and holding perpetrators accountable. He assured that all required resources would be provided to the police, while also emphasizing the need for continuous performance reviews. He expressed satisfaction with the Counter-Terrorism Department’s (CTD) active role in countering terrorism and promised additional resources to further enhance its operations.
The Chief Minister also vowed to ensure that the police work in an environment free from pressure, enabling them to fulfill their constitutional duties effectively. He called for the restoration of public trust through exemplary conduct by the police and pledged full support to the force in addressing the challenges posed by terrorism.
