Quetta:In a session of the Balochistan Assembly, a standing committee on finance, excise, revenue board, and transport, headed by Fazal Qadir Mando Khel and Provincial Minister for Revenue Asim Kurd Gailu, presented a report recommending amendments to the Quetta (Amendment) Bill 2024 (Draft Law No. 01 of 2024), based on Rule 180 of the Assembly’s Procedure 1974. The draft laws were extended for presentation in the Assembly as per the recommendations of the committee’s report.
The Assembly approved the Quetta (Amendment) Bill 2024 (Draft Law No. 01 of 2024), which includes recommendations for amendments to the Defence Housing Authority Quetta (Amendment) Bill 2024 (Draft Law No. 01 of 2024). The bills aim to enhance regulatory frameworks related to taxation, revenue boards, and transport in Balochistan, in accordance with the committee’s suggestions.
