Quetta:Balochistan Student Action Committee has announced a three-day boycott of classes across Balochistan and nationwide in protest against the abduction-style arrests of Baloch youth following the Gwadar incident. The committee expressed grave concerns over the security forces’ firing on peaceful Baloch demonstrators, resulting in deaths, injuries, and the arbitrary detention of several political activists across Balochistan, sparking a humanitarian crisis.
In their statement, the committee condemned the government’s use of violence against peaceful Baloch civilians under the guise of maintaining order during political events, labeling it not only undemocratic but also inhumane. They highlighted the systematic oppression faced by the Baloch people and criticized the obstruction of political gatherings resembling Baloch rule in Gwadar, describing it as an act of coercion.
The recent arbitrary arrests, including those of Baloch students, amid ongoing Baloch national political activities, were described as deeply concerning and unacceptable. The committee called on students and educators nationwide to join them in boycotting classes as a symbol of unity and solidarity with the Baloch nation.
The current injustices inflicted upon the Baloch people, particularly the arbitrary arrests of Baloch youth following the Gwadar incident, have prompted widespread outrage and solidarity demonstrations across Balochistan.
