Baloch Students Action Committee Holds Fourth Central Committee Meeting, Plans Major Initiatives

Quetta:The fourth Central Committee meeting of the Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) was held under the chairmanship of central chairman Shabbir Baloch. The two-day meeting focused on evaluating the committee’s past performance, discussing organizational matters, regional and international political developments, and formulating future action plans.

A key decision made during the meeting was the organization of a seminar in Mastung to commemorate International Mother Language Day in honor of Babu Abdul Karim Shorish and Abdul Aziz Kurd. The committee also discussed several other major activities aimed at raising awareness about the educational and political issues in Balochistan.

The meeting began with a review of the BSAC’s past activities, including reports from various committees such as media, literature, finance, Baloch Literacy Campaign, and the Balochistan Book Caravan. The committee also conducted an internal critique session, identifying areas of weakness and discussing ways to address them. The importance of constructive criticism in political movements was emphasized, with leaders highlighting that only through self-reflection and criticism can a political worker strengthen their resolve and achieve their revolutionary goals.

The second day of the meeting focused on the organization’s future strategies, with members presenting their drafts and proposals for improving activities and policies. Central leaders praised the committee’s progress over the past year, noting that the organization has become increasingly active in Balochistan, particularly in raising awareness among Baloch youth about education and politics. However, they stressed the need for continued struggle and improvement, urging members to adopt a philosophy of relentless effort to achieve their goals.

Key decisions included organizing the upcoming “Subah Literary Festival” in Mela and Dera Ghazi Khan, and a seminar dedicated to Abdul Karim Shorish and Abdul Aziz Kurd on International Mother Language Day. The committee also planned to launch a large-scale campaign for the Balochistan Book Caravan, raising awareness about Balochistan’s educational shortcomings and promoting the Baloch Literacy Campaign. A seminar on “Baloch Students’ Politics” will be held in Shal and Othal, and the committee will publish a booklet on the Balochistan Book Caravan, media, and career counseling.

Additionally, the committee approved the resignation of three members—Shiraz Baloch, Fozia, and Musaddiq Baloch—and appointed new members, including Juwairia Baloch from the Khuzdar Zone, Fahad Baloch from the Shal Zone, and Ali Baloch, former General Secretary of the Shal Zone, to the central committee.

The two-day meeting concluded after a detailed discussion on future activities, with all decisions being finalized under the guidance of the chairman. The BSAC continues to work towards educational, political, and social awareness in Balochistan, with a strong commitment to the rights of Baloch students and the people of the province.
