Babar Azam Achieves Milestone of 4,000 Test Runs
Islamabad:Pakistan’s cricket star, Babar Azam, has reached an important milestone in Test cricket by completing 4,000 runs. The right-handed batter achieved this feat during the first Test match against South Africa.
Babar needed just 3 runs to complete 4,000 Test runs, and he managed to reach this target on the first day of the Test match. However, he was dismissed for 4 runs shortly after crossing the milestone.
This match against South Africa marks Babar Azam’s 56th Test match in his career. With this achievement, Babar becomes the third player in the world and the only Pakistani batter to score 4,000 runs in all three formats: Test, One Day International (ODI), and T20I.
The first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and South Africa is being played at Centurion’s Supersport Park, and it is a Boxing Day Test match. South Africa won the toss and chose to field.
Pakistan’s batting line collapsed in the first innings, with the team being dismissed for just 211 runs. In response, South Africa reached 82/3 at the close of play on Day 1.
