Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Condemns Indian Aggression During Meeting with Federal Interior Minister
Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, met with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where they strongly condemned the Indian aggression in occupied Kashmir.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and the state of law and order in the country. They expressed full solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir’s Exploitation Day and vehemently condemned India’s illegal actions of August 5, 2019.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. He criticized India for its blatant violations of UN resolutions and international laws by abrogating Articles 370 and 35 (A), which he described as the worst form of exploitation of the Kashmiri people.
Naqvi noted that for the past five years, a curfew and Section 144 have been enforced in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the martyrdom of thousands of innocent Kashmiris, including children, the elderly, and women. He emphasized that the entire nation is resolutely observing Kashmir’s Exploitation Day and asserted that lasting peace in South Asia is linked to resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq remarked that August 5 exposed India’s nefarious face to the world. He highlighted that access to occupied Kashmir is restricted for international organizations and media. Haq called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to play their role in halting the injustices and atrocities occurring in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Interior Minister Naqvi assured cooperation for maintaining public order in Azad Kashmir, affirming that his ministry had previously provided substantial assistance and would continue to do so. He promised to address the security needs of Azad Kashmir. Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq expressed his gratitude for Naqvi’s support in maintaining peace.
