Assembly Member Condemns Police Actions During Protest on Sariab Road

Quetta:During a session of the Balochistan Assembly, Assembly Member Maulana Hidayat Rahman strongly criticized the pulling of veils of protesting women on Sariab Road, terming it reprehensible. He expressed dissatisfaction with the police’s conduct, citing an incident where police allegedly subjected his mother to unnecessary violence at his residence.

Maulana Hidayat Rahman asserted the right of every individual to peaceful protest and condemned the unjustifiable use of force anywhere. He clarified that the protestors were not demanding water but seeking the return of their missing children. He emphasized that the use of force upon someone’s gesture is unacceptable. He demanded the resignation of the Interior Minister over the incident and called for a consensus agreement on this matter.
