New YorkضA female artist has sparked controversy with her revelation that she uses gold in her paintings to ensure that only the rich and famous can purchase them. 47-year-old Victoria Yunick, a model and businesswoman, has created a “money collection” by mixing one kilogram of gold (worth approximately £69,000 or 2.48 crore Pakistani Rupees) into her paintings.
Victoria claims that her artwork symbolizes the attraction of wealth and will make the owners wealthier. She said, “I included gold in my paintings because gold creates more gold. According to the law of attraction, adding gold brings more wealth.” Victoria further clarified that her art is exclusively for the wealthy, stating, “My art is for those who are rich and can understand it better. Art is special, and it should be for those who are educated and can appreciate it, not for the general public.”
Victoria’s collection was showcased last month at the Art Basel event in Miami, USA, attended by several celebrities. The paintings featured words like “YES” made from various currency symbols and “Rolls Rolex.”
She explained that she crushed gold bullion (worth approximately $85,000 or 2.36 crore Pakistani Rupees) through a special ritual and incorporated it into the paint to attract wealth. “I grinded a gold bullion and added it to my paintings so it attracts wealth,” Victoria revealed.
Victoria also shared that her paintings have already led to major business deals, and her friends have seen financial benefits from being around her artwork. “I don’t plan to sell my collection for now. Instead, I am dreaming of becoming a billionaire through it.”
She disclosed that she is currently working on a large painting worth $1 million (approximately 27.7 crore Pakistani Rupees) for a private collector, where she will repeat the same ritual.
