Lahore: Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the honeytrap case involving drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Police have arrested the mastermind of the honeytrap gang along with his accomplice. The accused, Hasan Shah and his associate, were apprehended from Peshawar. Additionally, the police revealed that the culprit had virally circulated objectionable videos of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
Police sources disclosed that the suspect, along with a group of 12 individuals, including women, played a central role in the scandal. The accused confessed that their intention was not to defame Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar but to visit a woman’s residence with improper intentions due to objectionable videos. Authorities have stated that further investigations are underway into both suspects.
