Army Chief Reaffirms Commitment to Defeating Enemies of Peace and Ensuring Long-Term Stability

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has reiterated that the Pakistan Army, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, will continue its pursuit of peace enemies through coordinated and robust operations to ensure long-term stability and security in the country.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief’s visit to Peshawar was part of a follow-up to the National Apex Committee meeting held on November 19 and preparations for the upcoming Provincial Apex Committee meeting. During his visit, General Munir was briefed in detail about the current security situation and the progress of ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the region. The briefing was attended by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and senior military commanders.
During the visit, the Army Chief emphasized that the sacrifices made by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies form the foundation of the nation’s resolve. He stressed that defeating the malicious objectives of enemy elements remains the top priority.
General Munir also praised the high morale, operational readiness, and determination of the troops in effectively countering all types of threats. He reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s firm commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and eliminating all illegal factors that undermine national security.
The Army Chief paid a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs and veterans, honoring their unparalleled sacrifices made in defense of the motherland. He acknowledged their crucial role in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and security.
Upon his arrival in Peshawar, General Munir was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
