Islamabad:On Independence Day, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir hosted a grand reception in honor of retired military personnel. The event was attended by a significant number of retired officers and soldiers.
During the ceremony, General Munir expressed heartfelt appreciation for the services of retired military officers and personnel, acknowledging their dedication and crucial role in shaping the nation’s history.
The Army Chief emphasized the fundamental importance of unity and cooperation in facing challenges and encouraged the veterans to continue contributing to Pakistan’s development. He also warned of the sinister threat posed by adversarial elements spreading false news and propaganda to undermine the relationship between the Pakistani people and the armed forces.
General Munir assured that the unwavering support of the nation, including retired soldiers, would thwart such futile attempts. The retired personnel expressed their confidence in the leadership of the Pakistan Army and pledged their support in addressing both internal and external security challenges.
