Armed Attack on Passenger Buses in Manguchar, Balochistan, 17 Killed and Several Injured

Manguchar:In a tragic incident, armed assailants opened fire on passenger buses traveling along the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Manguchar area of Balochistan during the night between Friday and Saturday. The attack resulted in the deaths of 17 people and left one individual injured.

Assistant Commissioner of Manguchar, Ali Gul Baloch, confirmed the incident to V News, stating that the assailants targeted the buses with gunfire late at night. Following the attack, security forces engaged in a confrontation with the militants, forcing them to flee. During the assault, the assailants also threw grenades at a private bank, igniting a fire that caused the building to be set ablaze.

A clearance operation was swiftly conducted in the area, and the Quetta-Karachi National Highway was reopened for traffic. Additionally, Levis authorities reported that the assailants also launched attacks on various security checkpoints. Throughout the night, Manguchar was under siege from gunfire and explosions, causing panic and fear among local residents. The militants used heavy weaponry, and clashes between security forces and insurgents continued throughout the night. The security forces have since sealed off the area and are conducting ongoing operations.

This attack has raised concerns over security in the region, and authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
