According to the statement, terrorism in all its forms will be condemned, and non-discriminatory actions will be taken against them. The Chief Minister has instructed the police to take vigorous legal action against armed non-state actors. Any offices, premises, or check posts of such groups are illegal, and police across the province will take immediate action against them.
The joint statement of the Apex Committee meeting further clarified that no military operation is underway in the province. Local police and Counter Terrorism Department will handle operations against terrorist elements. Due to the nature, geography, and proximity to borders, assistance will be sought from Pakistan’s armed forces in some areas.
The police have been directed to conduct continuous and regular patrols. Additional personnel and vehicles will be provided across the province, particularly in southern districts. Moreover, priority will be given to creating new positions in southern districts.
