ANP Provincial President Asghar Khan Achakzai Warns of Protest if Demands Are Not Met by December 4

Chaman :Asghar Khan Achakzai, the provincial president of the Awami National Party (ANP), has issued a strong warning that if the recommendations of the Chaman Parlet Committee are not implemented by December 4, a massive protest will be held in front of the DC Complex on that day, where the future course of action will be announced. Achakzai emphasized that Chaman Parlet is a legacy of martyrs, and the party cannot betray their sacrifices.

In his speech, Achakzai condemned the actions of the so-called “anti-Pashtun forces,” which he said thrive on creating divisions among Pashtuns. He stressed that the martyrs of Chaman Parlet gave their lives to uphold Pashtun values and Afghan identity, and that after decades of bloodshed, there are now systematic attempts to economically suppress the Pashtun population.

Achakzai pointed out that despite demands from the participants of Chaman Parlet for better employment opportunities, the ruling authorities are indifferent, as their families live in comfort while ordinary Pashtuns continue to suffer. He also criticized the abduction of innocent individuals, like Musarrat Khan Kakr, stating that this act undermines the government’s claims of maintaining peace and security.

Furthermore, Achakzai highlighted the ongoing turmoil in areas like Hernai, Duki, and Sherani, which he accused of being driven by the exploitation of local resources. He accused the elites of Punjab of seizing the ancestral lands of Pashtuns, while the state’s neglect of the Pashtun region deepens their plight. Achakzai also lamented the lack of media coverage regarding the deaths of over 100 individuals in Kurram district, an incident which occurred in the presence of state and government forces.

The ANP leader criticized the Afghan government for hesitating to address the situation despite all the necessary conditions and requirements being in place, and expressed regret over the lack of decisive action. He reiterated that the sacrifices of the martyrs will continue to guide the struggle of Pashtuns for their rights and justice.

The speech took place during a public gathering held in Chaman Parlet to mark the 14th anniversary of Shaheed Khan Jelani Khan Achakzai, the 4th anniversary of Shaheed Asad Khan Achakzai, and to remember the martyrs of Chaman Parlet including Imran Shaheed, Sarki Shaheed, Janan Shaheed, Ayoub Shaheed, Nemat Shaheed, Abdullah Shaheed, and Naqeeb Shaheed. The event saw speeches from several senior ANP leaders, including Additional Secretary General Obaidullah Abid, Provincial General Secretary Mabat Kaka, District President Abdul Khaliq Haqmal, and others.

Achakzai also praised the sacrifices made by the martyrs of the Pashtun national movement, emphasizing that the ANP continues to advance the cause of Pashtun rights and unity. He pointed out that Pashtun and Baloch communities have been marginalized, with their resources exploited and employment opportunities restricted. He called for a united Pashtun front to resist extremism, terrorism, and economic exploitation.

During the event, thousands of people gathered to show their solidarity with the martyrs and to demand the implementation of their rightful demands. The participants chanted slogans in favor of the Pashtun national movement, including calls for the restoration of their right to free movement with national identity cards and passports, and rejected the idea of passport restrictions.

The rally concluded with resolutions presented by the provincial spokesperson, Wali Dad Meani, and the event was jointly coordinated by District General Secretary Sami Ullah Achakzai and Chairman Gul Zaman Achakzai. The ceremony ended with a prayer led by Hafiz Abdullah.
