Amir Hamza Zehri Assumes Charge as Provincial Advisor for Local Government Department in Balochistan

Quetta:The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Provincial Advisor for the Local Government Department, Nawabzada Amir Hamza Zehri, expressed his commitment to play a significant role in the development of Balochistan, following the vision of President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He also emphasized following the footsteps of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri in working for the province’s prosperity.
During a meeting with various delegations at his office, Nawabzada Amir Hamza Zehri stated that, despite Balochistan being neglected by the federal government in the past, he would ensure the province’s progress and development under the guidance of President Zardari and Chairman Bilawal. He emphasized the critical role of the Local Government Department in bringing essential services and infrastructure to the people of Balochistan, ensuring their rights are delivered effectively.
Nawabzada Amir Hamza Zehri further noted that although his ancestors had contributed significantly to the development of Balochistan, the province had faced neglect from the federal government, especially in terms of funding and project delays. He pointed out that while funds for PSDP (Public Sector Development Programme) were allocated, cuts and delays in these funds resulted in the failure to complete development projects on time. This, he said, had hindered Balochistan from entering a golden era of progress. However, he vowed that under the leadership and vision of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he would strive to put Balochistan on the path to development.
On this occasion, Nawabzada Amir Hamza Zehri officially assumed charge as the Provincial Advisor for the Local Government Department. The Provincial Secretary of Local Government, Abdul Rauf Baloch, and the Secretary of the Balochistan Local Government Board, Shuja Mirwani, congratulated him on taking charge. In addition, members of the PPP, officers from the Local Government Department, and various individuals from the Zehri tribe visited his office to congratulate him and extend their best wishes.
