American Woman’s Health Deteriorates After Struggling to Stay in Pakistan

Karachi:Unija Andrew Robbins, an American woman who came to Pakistan for a young Pakistani man, Nadal Ahmed Memon, has fallen ill. Reports indicate that after hotel and guest house owners refused her accommodation, the woman was taken to a social welfare organization.

According to the police, the American woman was brought to a social office located in Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal area. The head of the organization mentioned that she had been at the Tipu Sultan Police Station due to her deteriorating health, and she was unable to feel better.

The social leader further explained that arrangements had been made for the woman’s stay, adding that the woman is treated like family and can stay as long as she wants. Women volunteers from the organization will also stay with the American woman for support.

Earlier, the woman had left an apartment in Karachi’s Garden area, stating to the police that she had been sitting since the previous night and now wished to rest.

**Background of the Incident:**

Unija Andrew Robbins, a 2-time mother, got involved with 19-year-old Nadal Ahmed Memon from Karachi via social media. She arrived in Karachi on October 11 with hopes of marrying him, but his family rejected the proposal. The woman spent several months wandering in Karachi, and when her visit visa expired, the Airport Security Force (ASF) handed her over to the airport police.

An NGO provided financial assistance and a return ticket to the United States, but the woman refused to leave and instead camped out at the young man’s home.

Recently, the American woman demanded Pakistani citizenship and a monthly allowance of 3,000 US dollars from the government.
