Islamabad:An American court has dismissed the case involving secret documents against former President Donald Trump.
According to American media, a judge in a Florida court dismissed the case of secret documents filed by the Department of Justice against Trump.
This is a significant success for Donald Trump in the race for the presidential elections, just two days after narrowly escaping a deadly attack.
Media reports suggest that the court dismissed the case against Trump based on the appointment of a special prosecutor by the Department of Justice.
It should be noted that former US President Trump was accused of unlawfully taking classified national defense documents with him when leaving the White House. In August 2023, the FBI had discovered nearly 100 secret documents from Trump’s residence.
In the case of secret documents, specific charges were also filed against Trump, and he was briefly arrested during a court appearance in Miami in June 2023. However, he was later released.
American media had speculated that if all charges against Donald Trump were proven, he could have faced up to 100 years in prison.
