Quetta:Amanullah Kanrani, former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association and a prominent figure in Quetta, has strongly criticized the association of peaceful citizens with banned organizations, especially targeting women, children, and affected individuals. He described such actions as alarming and in need of urgent attention and resolution.
Kanrani pointed out the stark reality that the existence of banned organizations in Balochistan has been evident since the 1970s, contrary to recent attempts to falsely associate peaceful citizens, including those affected by incidents on Saryab Road, with these outlawed groups. He emphasized that attributing these individuals to banned organizations is a gross misrepresentation of ground realities.
He questioned the transformation of a woman who recently returned safely from Europe into a terrorist upon her arrival in Saryab, asking why there is an effort to label her and others with titles synonymous with terrorism and betrayal. Kanrani highlighted how such actions create a pretext to discredit these individuals and fabricate charges against them, ultimately jeopardizing their livelihoods.
The former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association stressed that the issue of missing persons is the most significant problem in Balochistan, lamenting that mothers and sisters are leaving their households to peacefully protest, only to face unwarranted accusations and arrests. He criticized the authorities for resorting to excessive force and police crackdowns instead of engaging in peaceful dialogue and negotiations to resolve grievances.
Kanrani underscored the need for transparent and just governance, urging authorities to refrain from exploiting the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the people. He called for an end to the perpetuation of fabricated narratives and slogans that sow discord and promote injustice, suggesting that instead of creating new betrayals for their own ends, those responsible should focus on rectifying past injustices.
In conclusion, Kanrani warned against the exploitation of Balochistan and Sindh by forces bent on undermining Pakistan, emphasizing that until the nation addresses these issues honestly and directly, the light will be extinguished and the echoes of grievances will continue to resonate across Britain, America, and Europe, while Pakistan remains oblivious.
