Quetta:In Zhob district, Balochistan, Chief Minister Mir Sardar Faraz Khan Bughti has received complaints from landowners regarding unfair distribution of agricultural water. Responding promptly, CM Bughti instructed Commissioner Nasirabad Division, Moeen-ul-Rahman Khan, to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Commissioner Khan promptly undertook a detailed inspection of the Pat Feeder Canal and its subsidiary branches, including Bidar Distribution, Qaidi Distribution, Balan Distribution, and Bari Distribution. Supervising Engineer Abdul Hamid Mengal provided comprehensive insights into the distribution processes.
Expressing concern over the complaints from farmers, CM Bughti emphasized the crucial responsibility of officials to ensure equitable water distribution according to the legitimate shares of all small and large-scale farmers. He stressed zero tolerance towards water theft and urged strict action against any malpractice.
Commissioner Khan acknowledged the urgency to improve the canal system in Nasirabad Division to address farmer grievances effectively. He directed supervising engineers to continuously monitor distribution points and take immediate administrative action against any lapses.
A detailed report on the situation is being prepared and will soon be submitted to Chief Minister Bughti for further action.
