Islamabad:Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has stated that initial investigations reveal PTI’s Information Secretary Rauf Hassan had connections with anti-state elements.
In a statement, Atta Tarar mentioned that Rauf Hassan was employed at PTI’s digital media wing, where he was receiving a salary of 700,000 rupees. Instructions were being received from and transmitted to PTI’s digital media wing, both domestically and internationally.
He further stated that initial investigations indicate Rauf Hassan had contacts with anti-state elements.
Atta Tarar emphasized that the decision to impose restrictions on PTI is a principled one, and consultations with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on this matter have been completed.
On the other hand, PTI leader Latif Khosa responded by saying that in the past, Nawaz Sharif also had contacts with foreigners. He criticized the decision to impose restrictions on PTI as illogical, suggesting that next in line could be the PML-N followed by the PPP.
