Ali Madad Jatk Criticizes Religious Politics, Promises Victory in PB-45 on January 5
QUETTA:Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) central leader and candidate from PB-45 Quetta, **Ali Madad Jatk**, has criticized the politics of nationalism and religious extremism, claiming it has given nothing to the youth of Balochistan except hate, unemployment, and insecurity. He also criticized a political figure who has switched parties multiple times and is now preparing to join a fifth party, questioning how such a person could challenge PPP workers who have remained steadfast in their loyalty.
Speaking at a ceremony on Sunday where **Mir Tamatz Bangalzai**, **Mir Fazal Mengal**, and their associates joined PPP, **Jatk** declared that on **January 5**, the people of PB-45 would celebrate both the legacy of **Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto** and the victory of PPP in the constituency. He was joined by political figures including **Sardar Behram Khalji**, **Mir Wali Muhammad Qalandarani**, **Chaudhry Shan Salamat**, and **Sajida Bangalzai**, among others.
**Ali Madad Jatk** continued, stating that in PB-45, religious parties are misusing religion for political gain, and some individuals have been falsely claiming they were defeated in previous elections. He challenged them to publicly state how many votes they received in the elections of **1993**, **2002**, **2008**, and **2013**.
He further criticized the **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam** (JUI) candidates for using Islam as a political tool, saying that if they could recite all six Kalmas (Islamic declarations of faith), he would accept their stance. He emphasized that those who did not understand the foundations of politics should not lecture others on how politics should be conducted.
**Jatk** added that on **January 5**, his opponents would receive “good news” as the people of **Saryab** would once again vote for PPP. He pointed out that the people of Saryab had previously voted for PPP under the banner of development and progress, and they would once again support PPP to ensure its success.
He concluded by stating that wherever nationalist and religious extremists have ventured, they have obstructed development. He assured the gathering that the PPP would emerge victorious, securing a bright future for the people of **Balochistan**.
