PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, addressing a rally in Bannu, criticized decisions of past governments, stating “We will make decisions ourselves and will not permit operations as provincial chief.”
Speaking directly to the public at Aman Pasoon Ground, Gandapur hailed the historic role of Pashtuns in Pakistan’s independence, asserting, “Pashtuns and KP have played a significant role in liberating Pakistan.” He emphasized sacrifices made, saying, “We shed blood and made personal sacrifices, opposing America’s wrong policies.”
“As the provincial chief, we will not authorize operations here. The sacrifices made in our name are in our blood, for this country,” Gandapur affirmed.
He reiterated, “We will make our own decisions. I salute the sacrifices of the people of Bannu. The administration has also played a crucial role, as desired by you and the Apex Committee.”
The Chief Minister criticized certain elements for distorting facts, adding, “School children are in our hearts. Delete any words that change the budget. Mosque children will provide every kind of facility including education.”
Addressing the gathering, he warned, “Do your reform. If not reformed, action will be taken. No armed group will see me. My people are my responsibility. No one will put their hands on them.”
“Fight corruption and drugs, don’t leave them,” he said. “Mark and confront. I am with you.”
He added, “It is our national duty to differ from individual behavior. If there is any talk and heartache over a martyr, permission will not be given. The martyrs of the army and the police are our martyrs.”
He said, “There will be developmental work in the province, which will not be advertised. Bannu Ground is my promise. It will be built for you and you will take your right.”
