Akhtar Mengal Refuses to End Sit-in Until Demands Are Met: Raheela Durrani
Provincial Minister Raheela Durrani stated that Sardar Akhtar Mengal has refused to call off his sit-in until all his demands are accepted. Speaking to the media, Durrani said that a delegation of women parliamentarians visited the protest site in an effort to resolve public grievances and persuade Mengal to end the demonstration.
She revealed that upon arrival, Sardar Akhtar Mengal questioned the delegation, asking, “Who sent you?” Durrani explained that during the discussion, they informed Mengal that some of his demands are currently under judicial consideration, implying that certain issues are beyond immediate political resolution.
Durrani emphasized that the intent of the visit was to initiate dialogue and find a peaceful solution, but Mengal remained firm on continuing the sit-in until full acceptance of his demands.
