Aishwarya Rai Urges Women to Stand Against Harassment in New Social Media Message
ISLAMABAD:Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has sent out an empowering message to women on social media, encouraging them not to compromise on their self-worth and to raise their voices against harassment. In a recent video shared on Instagram, the actress addressed women directly, urging them to stand up against street harassment and to never blame themselves for such behavior.
The video is part of a training program for a well-known brand’s “Stand Up Against Street Harassment” campaign. In the video, Aishwarya emphasized the importance of confronting harassment with confidence. She stated, “Look harassment in the eye, never blame yourself, your clothes, or your lipstick for it. Never compromise on your self-worth, and remember, street harassment is never your fault.”
She further urged women to avoid shying away from making eye contact with harassers. “Keep your head held high, face the issue head-on, and never feel inferior. Don’t doubt yourself, and take a strong stand for yourself,” she added.
This message comes at a time when rumors of a separation between Aishwarya Rai and her husband, actor Abhishek Bachchan, have been circulating. While these rumors have been making rounds for some time, neither the Bachchan family nor Aishwarya has publicly addressed the issue.
Recently, Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood actor and Abhishek’s father, responded to the divorce rumors in a cryptic manner, stating that unverified information should be confirmed first. He dismissed such speculations as untrue, calling them “unfounded lies” that are spread for professional purposes. He emphasized that speculative information, regardless of its accuracy, can create doubts and confusion, and such content is often used for commercial gain.
Amitabh Bachchan also expressed that he rarely discusses his family in the public domain, as he believes in respecting boundaries and maintaining privacy.
Aishwarya’s message, however, has resonated widely, with many applauding her for using her platform to speak out on such a crucial issue of women’s rights and dignity.
