Aamir Khan Comments on Son Junaid Khan’s Film ‘LuviaPa’ Flop, Emphasizes the Importance of Learning from Failures

Mumbai:Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has shared his thoughts on the failure of his son Junaid Khan’s debut film *LuviaPa*, which despite being a romantic comedy, failed to perform well at the box office.

Junaid Khan, who made his big screen debut with *LuviaPa* alongside Khushi Kapoor, was expected to make a strong impression, but the film struggled to impress audiences, grossing only 6.85 crores in India, far less than its production cost of 60 crores.

However, rather than being disheartened, Aamir Khan views the film’s failure as an opportunity for growth and learning. In an interview, he commented, “It’s good that this happened.” Aamir explained that facing early challenges is necessary for growth, adding, “I believe he is performing well, and he will continue to learn.”

Aamir praised his son’s dedication to his craft, recalling his work in *Maharaj*, where he felt that Junaid truly embodied his character. “When I saw Junaid in *Maharaj*, I felt like he had become that person. The same was true for *LuviaPa*,” Aamir said.

At the same time, Aamir acknowledged that Junaid still has areas where he can improve. He mentioned that, like himself, Junaid is not highly skilled in dancing and sometimes faces challenges in social interactions. Aamir also pointed out that Junaid sometimes gives unconventional responses in media interviews, which can come across as odd.

*LuviaPa* was Junaid Khan’s and Khushi Kapoor’s debut film in theatre, marking the beginning of their careers. Despite the film’s commercial failure, Aamir Khan believes this is just the start of Junaid’s learning journey in the film industry.
