PTI Senior Leadership Meets Key Government Figures Ahead of November 24 Protest, Major Decisions Expected
Islamabad: As Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) prepares for its planned protest on November 24, the party’s senior leadership is engaged in behind-the-scenes talks with key government officials.
According to sources, a three-member PTI delegation met Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, at his residence late last night. The delegation included PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, former Speaker Asad Qaiser, and Chief Whip Amir Dogar. During the meeting, PTI leaders requested Ayaz Sadiq to play a mediatory role in the ongoing political crisis.
Sources further revealed that PTI aims to explore all negotiation options before its protest and has proposed the formation of a high-level parliamentary committee for dialogue. The party is keen on pursuing peaceful resolutions through talks.
Government sources, however, responded by suggesting that PTI leadership should first seek permission from their party before engaging in formal talks in Parliament.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, held key meetings after an apex committee session at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House. The CM briefed senior party leaders on the committee’s decisions and also shared updates regarding the protest plans and ongoing discussions with the military establishment.
Both Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Gohar are expected to continue their outreach efforts, with further meetings planned to update PTI’s founder leadership on the status of these negotiations.
