“Max Is a Thousand Times Better Than You”: Shahid Afridi Responds to Moeed Pirzada’s Comment

KARACHI: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has responded strongly to a comment by former television anchor Moeed Pirzada after Afridi’s pet dog, Max, went missing and was later found with the help of fans and the local community.

Afridi had posted a message thanking people for helping locate his missing dog. Commenting on the post, Moeed Pirzada said he wished Pakistani citizens had rights comparable to those enjoyed by Afridi’s dog.

Afridi reacted sharply, saying he had only appealed to people for help in finding his missing pet, and the community had responded positively.

He said attempting to bring politics into the matter reflected a “declining mindset.”

Afridi further wrote that Max was “a thousand times better” than Pirzada, adding that the dog neither went to jail using fake thumb impressions nor allegedly looted public money and fled the country.

Afridi concluded his response with the hashtag #MaxGharAaGayaAbTumBhiAajao, meaning “Max has come home, now you should come too.”
