Lahore Stage Actress Alleges Sexual Assault After Being Drugged, Case Registered
LAHORE: Police in Lahore have registered a case following a complaint by stage actress Urooj, who alleged that a man sexually assaulted her after giving her a drug-laced drink and later recorded a video of the incident.
According to the complaint filed with Sabzazar Police Station, the actress alleged that a man identified as Nasir Khan initially befriended her and later promised her opportunities to work in stage dramas. She said he subsequently began visiting her home.
The actress alleged that the accused took advantage of their acquaintance and invited her to his house, where he allegedly gave her a drugged juice and sexually assaulted her.
She further alleged that after the assault, the accused recorded an intimate video of her and later began blackmailing her, threatening to make the video public.
Police confirmed that a case had been registered on the actress’s complaint and said raids were being conducted to arrest the accused. Police officials said the suspect would be arrested soon.
The case has drawn attention to allegations of sexual violence and digital blackmail involving the stage actress.
The incident follows an earlier case involving the same suspect. In 2024, a man identified as Nasir Khan allegedly opened fire outside actress Urooj Khan’s residence in broad daylight.
According to police sources at the time, the suspect allegedly wanted to establish a relationship with the actress by force and had reportedly been threatening her with a weapon for several days.
