Country’s Situation Is Before Everyone, Only God Above Will Show Mercy and Deliver Justice: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Former federal minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the country’s current situation is evident to everyone, adding that he now looks only to God for mercy and justice.

Speaking in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed said innocent people were being kept in prisons and that they were now looking toward “the One God above” rather than earthly powers.

He claimed that his nephew was innocent but had been sentenced to 60 years in prison. He said he himself had been abroad when the incident in question took place.

Sheikh Rasheed said inflation, unemployment and poverty were among the major problems facing the country and that the overall situation was visible to everyone.

“I am no longer looking toward the earthly gods; I am looking toward the One God above. He alone will have mercy on us and deliver justice,” he said.
