Sindh, Balochistan Police Decide to Build New Border Check Posts to Strengthen Security
HUB: Senior police officials from Sindh and Balochistan have agreed to establish new check posts along the inter-provincial border to strengthen security and curb the movement of terrorists, smugglers, and illegal migrants.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting held at LEDA Hall in Hub on Wednesday. The meeting marked the first formal high-level session between Sindh Police and Balochistan Police to develop a joint strategy for improving security along the shared border.
The meeting was attended by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sindh Azad Khan, Additional AIG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Zulfiqar Lark, DIG West Irfan Baloch, DIG Asad Raza, SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi, SSP Keamari Singhar Malik, SSP CTD Irfan Bahadur, DIG Kalat Range Wazir Khan Nasir, SSP Hub Mirza Bilal Hassan, DSP Hub Imam Baloch, and Special Branch officer Zulfiqar Baloch.
Participants discussed measures to enhance border security and agreed to construct new check posts in strategic locations along the Sindh-Balochistan border. The meeting also considered launching joint patrols by Sindh and Balochistan Police on highways and other routes connecting the two provinces.
The officials reaffirmed their commitment to improving coordination and intelligence-sharing to combat terrorism and other criminal activities more effectively. They also agreed to continue close cooperation, with the next coordination meeting scheduled to be held in Sindh.
