Islamabad: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has issued a new set of guidelines for Umrah pilgrims, urging them to take necessary health precautions in light of the changing weather conditions. According to Sabq News, the Ministry has emphasized the importance of receiving the influenza vaccine to protect against seasonal flu.
The authorities have recommended that pilgrims wear masks in crowded public areas during their Umrah rituals to minimize the risk of contracting seasonal diseases. This measure will help ensure that pilgrims can engage in worship with greater focus and safety.
Special emphasis has been placed on elderly individuals and those suffering from chronic illnesses to get vaccinated. Additionally, healthcare workers and those employed in hospitals or medical centers have also been advised to take the vaccine to safeguard their health during their duties.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Ministry of Health has arranged for free flu vaccinations across all regions of the country to help pilgrims stay protected from the seasonal flu.
