Saudi-Led Coalition Confirms Airstrikes on Houthi Military Targets in Yemen

The Saudi-led coalition has confirmed carrying out airstrikes in Yemen’s Al Hudaydah Governorate, stating that the operation targeted Houthi military positions and related objectives.
In a statement, the coalition said Al Hudaydah Port was not targeted and emphasized that all ports remain open and operating normally for maritime traffic.
The coalition added that the destroyed targets were linked to threats against commercial shipping in the Red Sea, warning that any continued Houthi attacks would receive a strong response.
Earlier, the Houthi-affiliated television channel Al Masirah claimed that Saudi warplanes had launched airstrikes on Al Hudaydah and Kamaran Island. Yemen’s state news agency also alleged that facilities belonging to the Telecommunications Corporation in Al Hudaydah had been struck.
The developments follow claims made a day earlier by the Houthi movement Ansar Allah, which said it had targeted two Saudi oil tankers for allegedly violating its declared naval blockade.
Six days earlier, Ansar Allah announced a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia, saying the measure was a response to the blockade on Yemen and the continued closure of Sana’a International Airport.
