Rana Sanaullah Accuses Political Opponents of Corruption in Azad Kashmir, Sindh Government Hits Back

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah, has accused his political opponents of widespread corruption, alleging that corruption is the only legacy associated with their rule in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Sindh.
Speaking to party workers, Rana Sanaullah claimed that whenever the names of certain political figures delivering speeches in Azad Kashmir are mentioned, “only one thing comes to mind—corruption.” He alleged that they have no legacy other than corruption and accused them of taking pride in their alleged misconduct.
He further alleged that wherever his political opponents have been in power, they have engaged in corruption on a massive scale. Referring to Sindh, he claimed that the province received Rs3 trillion over the past 15 years and alleged that the funds were siphoned off to Dubai. Rana Sanaullah asserted that those responsible neither conceal nor feel remorse over their alleged corrupt practices and urged the public not to be misled by political rhetoric.
Meanwhile, Sindh government spokesperson Saadia Javed strongly rejected Rana Sanaullah’s remarks and criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader for targeting the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership.
In her response, Saadia Javed said Rana Sanaullah should account for the Model Town incident before leveling allegations against others. She questioned how those she described as the pioneers of corruption and money laundering could lecture others on honesty and integrity.
She urged Rana Sanaullah to “come to his senses” and refrain from pursuing what she termed politics for cheap publicity. The Sindh government spokesperson further stated that if attacks against Sindh continue, the alleged international financial dealings and properties associated with the Sharif family would be brought into public discussion.

Saadia Javed also claimed that the criticism reflects political anxiety within the PML-N over the prospect of a significant electoral defeat in Azad Kashmir.
The statements by both leaders represent political allegations and counter-allegations. No independent evidence was presented alongside the remarks to substantiate the claims made by either side.
