Balochistan Government Releases Detained Government Employees Following CM Bugti’s Orders

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has released government employees who were detained during a recent protest following directives issued by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
According to an official statement, the chief minister approved the release after a request from leaders of the Grand Alliance. Acting on his instructions, the Quetta district administration immediately released approximately 50 government employees who had been taken into custody during the protest.
The provincial government expressed hope that government employees would continue to observe the discipline, rules, regulations, and professional responsibilities associated with public service.
The statement further said the government expects employees to prioritize serving the public and to avoid any future conduct that may be inconsistent with the dignity, responsibilities, and code of conduct expected of civil servants.
