Six Members of Same Family Killed in House Fire in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Six members of a family lost their lives after a fire broke out at a residential house in the Tehkal Payan area of Peshawar, rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, the fire erupted in the hall of the house, where furniture, foam, and other flammable materials were present. Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call and successfully brought the blaze under control.

During a search operation, rescuers recovered the bodies of six people from one of the rooms in the house. The deceased included a husband, his wife, and their children.

Rescue officials said preliminary evidence suggests that the victims died due to severe smoke inhalation and suffocation caused by the fire.

The cause of the fire could not be immediately determined. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
