KP Government Increases House Requisition Allowance, Announces Relief for Public Employees
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a significant increase in the House Requisition Allowance for provincial government employees, with the revised rates taking effect from July 1, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, the revised allowance will apply to employees and officers in Grades 3 to 22 serving in the Civil Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, and Governor’s Secretariat.
Under the new rates:
Grades 3–6: Rs6,000 per month
Grades 7–10: Rs9,000 per month
Grades 11–13: Rs13,000 per month
Grades 14–15: Rs16,000 per month
Grade 16: Rs18,000 per month
Grades 17–18: Rs21,000 per month
Grade 19: Rs28,000 per month
Grade 20: Rs35,000 per month
Grade 21: Rs42,000 per month
Grade 22: Rs52,000 per month
In a separate welfare measure, the provincial government has also increased the Special Conveyance Allowance for government employees with disabilities from Rs6,000 to Rs10,000 per month, effective July 1, 2026.
The government said the increases are intended to provide financial relief to public employees in light of rising inflation and to improve their overall welfare.
