PML-N and PTI Agree to Hold Talks at National Assembly Speaker’s Office

Islamabad: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have agreed to meet on Thursday for talks at the office of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
The agreement was reached during Geo News’ program Capital Talk, where Minister of State Barrister Aqeel Malik invited PTI to resume dialogue. The invitation was accepted by PTI representative Shafqat Abbas Awan.
Barrister Aqeel Malik said he would contact National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq the same night to request that formal negotiations with PTI begin the following day.
Responding to the proposal, Shafqat Abbas Awan said that Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Raja Nasir Abbas, and senior PTI leaders would attend the meeting at the Speaker’s Office or Committee Room No. 5, depending on the venue designated by the National Assembly Secretariat.
The planned meeting is expected to mark the beginning of a new round of dialogue between the government and the opposition amid ongoing political tensions.
