Thousands Rally in Ziarat Against Mangi Dam Attack, Demand End to Terrorism and Lasting Peace

Ziarat: Thousands of people participated in a large-scale peace rally in Ziarat to protest the Mangi Dam attack, calling for the elimination of terrorism and the restoration of lasting peace in the region.
The demonstration was organized on a joint call by all political parties and drew children, women, senior citizens, youth, political leaders, social activists, members of the business community, and local residents.
The rally passed through major roads and public areas of the city, where participants chanted slogans against terrorism and in support of peace. Protesters paid tribute to the police personnel who lost their lives in the Mangi Dam incident and demanded decisive action against those responsible.
The march concluded at a sit-in camp outside the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where participants offered prayers for the deceased.
Addressing the gathering, political and social leaders described the Mangi Dam attack as a tragic and unacceptable act of violence. They said terrorist elements were enemies of peace but stressed that such attacks would not weaken the resolve of the people.
The speakers urged the government and relevant authorities to swiftly bring those responsible for the attack to justice, ensure justice for the families of the victims, and take effective measures to further strengthen law and order across Ziarat district and the rest of Balochistan.
