Quetta: A severe fever, body aches, coughing, and respiratory issues have reached epidemic proportions in Quetta, affecting approximately 80 out of every 100 residents. The situation has escalated rapidly, with government inaction regarding timely diagnosis and testing raising concerns among the populace.
The outbreak is impacting daily life significantly, disrupting businesses, schools, and various sectors, as the government appears to be neglecting its responsibility to address the health crisis. Reports indicate that hospitals in the region lack adequate facilities to cope with the rising number of patients.
Meanwhile, the Drug Monitoring Authority has been criticized for allowing a mafia to operate medical stores and clinics without oversight, jeopardizing public health. The health department remains largely unresponsive to the alarming situation.
