Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Claims Growing Support for PML-N Amid Agricultural Initiatives

Kala Shah Kaku: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif declared that opposition parties are recognizing the rising support for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Speaking at a ceremony for the distribution of super seeders to farmers at the Rice Research Institute, she emphasized that the party’s efforts are gaining momentum.
Maryam announced that the Punjab government is providing 5,000 super seeders to farmers across the province, with an investment of 5 billion PKR. This initiative is designed to reduce air pollution by eliminating the need for burning crop residues. She highlighted the importance of agriculture for Punjab’s development, stating that farmers hold a special place in her heart.
Additionally, she mentioned that the first lottery for green tractors would be held soon, with 1.6 million applications already received. Maryam reinforced the notion that agricultural development is crucial for overall progress.
Addressing environmental challenges, she described smog as a “dragon” that causes numerous health problems, and noted that resolving this issue may take several years. She suggested that if Indian Punjab adopts similar measures, it could lead to mutual benefits for both regions.
Maryam also condemned attempts to sow discord between the government and farmers, asserting that the PML-N remains focused on delivering better services. She concluded by stating that the opposition is now admitting that the tide is turning in favor of the PML-N, claiming that the party’s performance has always been strong and will continue to be so in the future.
