Hanna Urak Sit-In Ends After Successful Talks; Balochistan Government Pledges Security and Strong Action Against Militants

QUETTA: The protest sit-in in Hanna Urak came to an end on Monday after successful negotiations between the protesters and a provincial government delegation, with authorities pledging to ensure public safety and take decisive action against militant elements.

Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and Special Assistant on Home Affairs Babar Yousafzai held talks with the protesters and addressed the gathering, reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens.

The officials said public security remains the government’s top priority and vowed that operations against militant groups would continue with full determination. They added that those responsible for acts of terrorism would face a strong and decisive response on every front.

The ministers also praised the courage and resilience of the people of Hanna Urak, stating that local residents had bravely resisted the attackers and thwarted the intentions of the armed militants. They commended the community for standing firm in the face of the recent violence.

During the meeting, the government delegation listened to the protesters’ demands and assured them that their legitimate concerns would be addressed without delay.

Following the successful negotiations, the protesters announced the end of the sit-in, and the blocked highway was reopened to traffic, restoring the normal flow of vehicles.

The provincial government reiterated its commitment to utilizing all available resources to protect the lives and property of citizens, maintain law and order, and eliminate terrorism from the province.
