Pakistan Raises Petroleum Levy on Diesel and Petrol While Keeping Fuel Prices Unchanged

ISLAMABAD:** The government has increased the petroleum levy on both diesel and petrol while keeping retail fuel prices unchanged for the coming week.

According to sources in the Petroleum Division, the levy on high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs6.57 per litre, bringing the total levy to Rs79.54 per litre.

The petroleum levy on petrol has also been raised by Rs0.39 per litre, taking it to Rs66.64 per litre.

Meanwhile, the levy on kerosene oil remains unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre.

Despite the increase in petroleum levies, the government has decided to maintain the existing prices of petrol and diesel for the next week.
