Bilawal Bhutto Says Talks with Government Continue Over Budget Concerns

ISLAMABAD:Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that discussions with the government regarding the party’s reservations over the federal budget are ongoing.

The remarks came after a meeting between Bilawal Bhutto and a two-member government delegation led by Ishaq Dar at Bilawal’s chamber in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the deputy prime minister briefed the PPP chairman on key budget figures and financial proposals contained in the government’s budget plan.

Speaking to the media afterward, Bilawal said that consultations on budget-related concerns were continuing and that further discussions with Ishaq Dar would take place in the coming days.

Separately, Faisal Karim Kundi and Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha also met with the PPP chairman to discuss provincial issues.

During the meeting, Bilawal expressed concern over the wheat shortage crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and directed the governor to play an active role in addressing the issue.

He emphasized that the province’s interests should be pursued through a collective political effort and urged all political parties to work together in raising and resolving the concerns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meetings come amid ongoing political consultations over the federal budget and growing concerns regarding economic and agricultural challenges in the province.
